My name is Paris Hagman and I am the Principle at
Paris Hagman, Architect
Hagman and Associates, a small architectural firm practicing in San Diego County for 27 years.
I graduated from the University of Washington with a Masters degree in
Architecture, and after apprenticeship in several architectural firms in
Santa Barbara and San Diego, I obtained my California Architect’s License in 1988,
the year I established Hagman & Associates.
For 12 years the bulk of our work was custom residential and residential
additions and remodels. Since the year 2000 and the upheaval in residential
construction, however, we have been doing more medium size commercial
projects such as convince stores, car washes, restaurants, & tenant improvements.
We are a full service architectural firm that will take a project from inception
to completion. We have well established relationship with reputable Civil,
Structural, Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing, Health Department, and Landscaping consultants. We carry a project from Pre-design through permitting and construction phase services.
We have extensive experience in processing Discretionary Permit applications
such as,
- Conditional Use Permits
- Coastal Development Permits
- Site Development Permits
- Neighborhood Development Permits
- Variances, Tentative Maps
- Type 20 & 21 ABC Licenses
We are familiar with the requirements and procedures of most Planning Departments
and have processed applications in different jurisdictions throughout the San Diego
County, and some in Riverside and Orange Counties.
Our fees are very competitive. We are budget sensitive and we understand the
importance of on-time, quality performance. We respect and welcome our clients’
ideas and inputs as the work progresses. We know that every project is unique.
Our approach is from inside out, from space to form. Throughout the design
development, we never take our attention away from the feel of space and the
appearance of form. Our experience has shown that additional costs often
associated with design elements is more than offset by the psychological
appeasement, savings resulted from efficient use of space, and, in the case
of commercial projects, increase in productivity or the rate of returning customers.
